The same as any other surgery like that. The risk out weighs the result if you don`t have it. My wife had it and she says it was worth the risk considering what she`ld have to go through if she didn`t have it.

It has risks, as do any major surgeries. I think the only thing you would really have to worry about is if after both ovaries are removed, that the cancer does not spread to other regions of your body.
