Sometimes, I think the researchers got it wrong. Most of us carry hpv, so it would make sense that most of us that contract cervical cancer have hpv. It’s like cats. Most cats carry the herpes virus and most are not affected. The ones that are can become very sick from it.

Some strains of HPV (not all) can cause abnormalities in the cells in the cervix which may become cancerous in time.
Women who get cervical cancer have had past infections with a high-risk strain of HPV, but the vast majority of women infected with these viruses do not go on to develop cervical cancer.
HPV is not a risk factor for ovarian cancer, nor is any other sexually transmitted virus.
The greatest risk factor for ovarian cancer is age - most cases are in women who are past the menopause.

first of all hpv can cause cervical cancer but not in all cases i had cervical cancer does that nessisarily mean i am a std carrying slut? no so dont say that in your question because i am sure many people would take offence to it. ovarian cancer can be caused by alot of things you can even develope it even if you have never had sex so stds are not always the case
