i am 23 and for the past 5-6 months i have been having a dull pain in my lower right abdomen…sometimes even a pinching feeling. it is not constant and occurs in bouts for a few days and then leaves for a few weeks some times less. i have also been burping a lot lately and making bowel movements more frequently. i have never been to a gyno but have an appt. next week so u dont need to tell me to go! i am getting my periods regularly and sometimes feel the frequent urge to urinate. i am scared to death i have ovarian cancer. any ideas or similiar experiences or other things u think this could be? is it likely id have cancer at 23?

I read on the internet that sometimes they do a blood pregnancy test to check for ovarian cancer. Is this true and how accurate can the test be? I had one taken like 4 months ago and it came back normal.I had a pap at the end of July which came back normal.But after that I have been having irregular menses(stopping for like 3 months) and pelvic pain and pelvic fullness. Should I be worried for cancer?

Therefore, even if both ovaries are completely removed, a woman can still get a disease that is for all intents and purposes ovarian cancer- they get exactly the same disease presentation and symptoms without an ovarian mass, and it is treated the same.

unfortunately this is one of the things that go with ovarian cancer i don’t think anything your mum can do to stop this happening.i wish her all best though with her treatment and recovery.
