i just read an article about a 25 year old woman with ovarian cancer, and she said she went to the doctor after getting “intense abdominal pain” after eating. for the past few months, i get (sometimes) random pain (not intense)after eating. i think its lacose intolerance cause it happens after dairy, but i have anxiety and get worried when i read about stuff like this. i read online its uncommon in woman under 50 but still happens. no real cancer history in my family, 1 grandmother had cancer and 1 or 2 great aunts had breast cancer but thats pretty much it
should i be worried? gyno exam last october was totally fine and didnt show any lumps or anything wrong

how much more of a risk do i have that someone else that doesn’t have it in their family?
what age should i get tested in? i’m only 14 now

recently the doctor found a tumor in my right ovary and i have yet to make a follow up. but i just wanted to know how likely it is that this tumor could be cancerous considering i had a great aunt with uterine cancer and a cousin with breast cancer

You need to understand that cancer in the young is already considered rare. But if you are looking strictly at this age group . . than ovarian cancer is more common than other types of cancer. Teens and young adult women who get ovarian cancer get a type that older women do not get called Ovarian germ cell cancer:

This type of cancer if found early is considered curable.
